Push Up Bras: Facts and Figures

Nursing Pajamas

Of all type and styles of bras, the most sought after is the push up bra. These bras lift the breasts and with their unique padding give shape to them. In addition, manufacturers have come out with the innovative idea of filling the bra cups silicone insertion, water sacks or mixture of oils and water that fit into a pocket inside each cup. They are called "fillets" and are meant to give the breast a fuller and natural look by adding size. Moreover, you can remove and insert the fillets as you desire. In addition, the push up bras facilitate in showing off deep plunging, stylish cleavage. Their unique and improved fabrication prevents pilling on the cups. They are designed for low cut dresses and revealing fashion statements.

Nursing Pajamas

Push up bras come in different designs. Some are half- cupped. They generally cover half of the breast giving them a bare-minimum covered look. Best for showing off a plunging and revealing neckline, these push up bras give maximum support with maximum exposure.

The full coverage bra covers the breasts completely. You can choose from push up bras with or without under wire. Push up bras can be categorized as demi cup bras, full coverage bras and padded bras.

Demi cup bras are half cup bras that cover half the breasts, giving a bare-minimum look. These bras have wide set cups and are best for plunging cleavage or dresses with revealing necklines.

Padded bras have padding in them and give the breasts a fuller look. They can also be worn to enhance small breasts.

Latest Trends in Medical Scrubs

Nursing Pajamas

Health professions are changing dramatically and the latest trends in medical scrubs reflect both a change in who is a "typical" health care provider, and a change in cutting-edge material technology. Nursing is in extremely high demand nationally, and the salaries match that demand, bringing many new people into the field.

Nursing Pajamas

There are no longer stigmas attached to entering nursing as a second career, or for males entering the field. With advances in non-invasive diagnostics, such as medical sonography, whole new fields are opening up and attracting thousands of workers. All of these health care professionals need and want medical scrubs to wear on the job, and they demand many more choices than the old, all-white uniforms available in the past.

The latest trends include advances in the material used to make the scrubs. There are scrubs available with anti-microbial properties present in the material, helping guard against infection of patient or medical worker. The anti-microbial action lasts through hundreds of washings. New fabric blends make scrubs more comfortable, long-lasting, and easy-care, too, with stretch materials proving extremely popular.

With medical workers of all shapes, ages, and heights needing uniforms, the medical scrubs industry has created brand-new design lines that help protect the health care worker by fitting properly, without gaps, sagging, or bunching. Now, scrubs for women are available in petite or tall sizes, and in sizes to fit larger, heavier frames as well. Men's scrubs are much more plentiful, and are cut to fit the male frame.

Nurses and other medical workers can find prints, designs, and colors to fit any taste. A new trend is denim scrubs, which are proving very popular among men, and stunning all-black scrubs, popular with both sexes. Cheerful prints can help put patients at ease, and the latest trends include prints of new cartoon and movie characters, and prints that reflect popular culture.

Scrub pants show a variety of leg treatments that reflect the same fashion trends as in streetwear, with split, flared leg openings available, and some pants featuring a longer length so that the pant legs "break" on the arch of each foot and cover the back of the shoe entirely, with the footwear just peeking out in front. Lowrise pants are also a new trend in scrubs, especially among the younger workers, who also favor tailored waist treatments and tucked-in tops.

Necklines reflect the latest streetwear trends, too, with square necklines showing up in women's scrubs now, and gathered yokes reflecting the popularity of peasant-tops. Men's scrub tops keep the traditional deep vee-neck, but add contrasting piping or mesh inserts.

Both men and women's scrubs are featuring no-collar modified lab coats that coordinate with the colors and styles of the pants and tops, for those chilly days and air-conditioned facilities.

A completely new, trendy feature in both men and women's scrubs is the use of tee shirts instead of traditional scrub tops. The tees are designed to coordinate with the scrub bottoms, and feature medical-related graphics, famous scrub brand logos, or specialty dye effects, such as "dip dyeing" or "slide dyeing" to give gradations of color. Many are very close-fitting, giving a trim appearance that emphasizes the physique.

With all the of the new types of medical scrubs available now, medical personnel can choose functional work wear that is as stylish as any streetwear, and can show their personality by the scrubs they choose.

Nursing Pajamas

Advancing your career from LPN to RN, Paramedic to RN, or RT to RN is your ticket to job security! While it can be challenging for some to commute back and forth to school and figuring out child care while balancing a full schedule, distance learning students don't have those things to worry about. If you are a Licensed Practical Nurse, Paramedic, or Respiratory Therapist looking to become an RN, distance learning is a convenient solution for you. Distance learning programs allow you to take courses from the comfort and convenience of your home or during your downtime!

Don't waste time and money commuting back and forth to school several times a week, just pull up a chair and get started wherever you're comfortable.

Don't arrange and incur the extra expense for a babysitter to watch your kids while you're at class on campus several times a week. You can be in your home with them studying while they do their homework or play.

Don't rearrange your work schedule for school, simply study when you want and test when you're ready. If you learn better early in the day, during down time at work, while your child practices baseball, or late into the evening, that's perfect! You decide when, where, and how long!

The demands of a family, a full or part-time job, and other responsibilities can make the thought of getting your Associate's Degree in Nursing seem like a dream that will never become a reality. However, with the convenience and flexibility of distance learning nursing degree programs you can move from LPN to RN, Paramedic to RN, or RT to RN without disrupting your entire life.

Pregnancy Photo And Maternity Clothes Ideas

Nursing Pajamas

Many Options For Pregnancy Photo Shoots

Nursing Pajamas

It is becoming very popular for women to have their pregnancy photos taken.

There are many pregnancy photo ideas for women to think of, for instance, what types of clothes should be worn? How many months pregnant should I be before I have my photo shoot?

A woman who is expecting has a particular glow about her that is radiantly beautiful and this is the only time in their life that they will look like this. It is common for many women to want to cover themselves up while pregnant so that they are not embarrassed by their fat. This is not a good idea.

Women should be proud to show off their body. If the right clothing is chosen, the mom to be nothing but proud of her photo shoot. When everything is right, the pregnancy photo ideas will begin flowing. The first thing to know with pregnancy photo ideas are to not spend a lot of money on an outfit just for a photo.

Chances are that there is something in the closet that will be perfect. For instance, how about a man's shirt? Preferably dads. Not a t-shirt though, something with a collar would look great. Something very feminine and silky is another great way to show off the curves of the woman's body.

Basically, anything that does not hide the fact that the woman's body is going through the most incredible process known to mankind. The next thing to know with pregnancy photo ideas are when exactly is a good time during the pregnancy to take the photos. Usually, during the last few months is the best time.

The mother to be is glowing with joy and her body will show it. Having dad in the photo is a great way to show the beginning of a family and the joy that they are feeling. Dad kissing mom's bare belly is a cute way to express the love and joy that they must be feeling. Another great way to do a pregnancy photo shoot ideas would be to have the other siblings in the photo with mom, and possibly dad. This is also a great way for them to bond with the new baby.

Is There Really a Work at Home Institute?

Nursing Pajamas

I believe there is a lot of search involved in work at home institutes, however I don't feel the word "institute" would be proper. There are a lot of websites that enable you to find work at home jobs like telecommuting, customer service operators, etc... within a wide list of companies to choose from. But I don't believe there is an "institute" quite dedicated to that itself. The "institute" IS your HOME. You ARE working from home - your institute right?

Nursing Pajamas

As I was researching for "work at home institutes", I came across a website that I will not choose to mention. I was quite disappointed. I thought GREAT I actually found a "Work at Home Institute (gee did I just mention it?)". When I first opened the site, it asked for me some general information in order to get me on their list. You know "the List". Well in order for me to proceed, I had to enter my information in order to gain FREE access into the site. After I painstackingly entered my information, it lead me to another bogus site. What came up was "Hey you can get paid to do surveys!" Don't get me wrong, it is an area that you can do from home and get some cash from it, but I wouldn't recommend it. You have to really do a lot of LEGWORK in order to make this work. Hey I did try it myself, (however not from this site, but previously) and you know I did make 5 just by merely making a few political survey calls and WALLA, I submitted my results online and got paid. But if you were going to continue this line of work, make sure to get with reputable surveyors. There are professionals out there who can actually make a grand living. Other than that - stay away from it. My suggestion would be to do some research on telecommuting jobs. These jobs are real paid jobs with company benefits (For more information on who hires for these types of positions and what the companies are. Please visit my blog).

Anyway back to my experience and my research... I still quite could not find a "work at home institute" at least of any value. Again, the "institute" is your home and if that is where you would like to work from, and then get the REAL information about getting yourself established to work from home. Don't waste your time going to some of these useless ongoing websites that lead you to nowhere but frustration. Do the research and find the opportunities that are legit and ready for you to make some good take home, and work at home income.

Booklet Topic Idea - The Tween Market is Wide, Varied and Profitable

Nursing Pajamas

In the U.S. today there are more than 21 million children who fall into the "tween" category.  These 8 - 14 year olds make up a very lucrative market.  If you have a child or grandchild in this age group and you've been trying to come up with a topic for a booklet, writing for or about tweens might just be the topic for you.

Nursing Pajamas

Booklets Are A Perfect Fit With Tweens

When was the last time you saw an 8 - 14 year old sit down and read a book that wasn't required reading for school?  Probably never.  Although some tweens do read books, the vast majority would rather spend time online, watching TV, or talking on the phone.  Reading books takes too long, and tweens generally don't have the attention span or the patience that reading a full length book requires.  This is why booklets are perfect for this market.  They give the reader the facts in a short, concise manner.

Booklets are also convenient for tweens to carry with them in a purse, backpack or tote.  This age group loves to share things they like with their friends.  Booklets are easy to share because they're easy to take along wherever the tween goes.  Once the tweens friends see the booklet, they'll want one too.

Topics That Interest Tweens

So, just what do tweens want to know more about today?  High on the list of priorities are:

Fashion Hair Care Make Up Room Decor Food Fun Websites Electronics Music Celebrities Sports Relationships (especially with friends and the opposite sex, but also includes parents and God)

Writing about any of the above will get a tweens attention, and if you can find a way to make your booklets collectable tweens will share them, trade them and keep them.

Writing About Tweens

Writing a booklet for tweens isn't the only way to capitalize on this market.  Writing a booklet for parents or grandparents of tweens, or for teachers or sports coaches, or for another professional who works with tweens on a regular basis can also be very lucrative.  Some topic ideas for these categories might include:

Tween Parenting - How To Have A Better Relationship With Your 8 - 14 Year Old  Grandparenting Tweens - What Today's Kids Are Into And How To Connect With Them Teaching Tweens - How To Get And Keep Their Attention So They Love To Learn Overweight Tweens - Why Diets Don't Work And What You Can Do About It How To Talk To Your Tween About Sex Busy Tweens - How To Help Your Tween Balance And Enjoy Middle School life

This is a short list, but you can see there are a variety of subjects having to do with tweens that would make an excellent booklet.  The key is to provide well written, helpful content so that people will not only purchase your booklet, but they'll be happy to tell others about it as well.

The Tween Market Is Diverse And Profitable

As you can see from the above examples, the market for tween booklets is wide and varied.  You can write booklets directly to tweens or write them for their parents.  You can write booklets for teachers and coaches too.  But the market is even further reaching than this, because you can sell those booklets to companies who sell to tweens, such as magazines.

There are many avenues for profiting from the tween market.  If you have a tween in your life or you work with tweens, you've got riches right under your nose just waiting to be mined!

Silk Men's PJs - The Perfect Gift For Your Guy

Nursing Pajamas

When you are looking for a gift for a guy you might not have men's PJs as the top item on your list but maybe you should. It is a gift that offers comfort, consideration, and quite often, warmth and affection to the recipient of the gift.

Nursing Pajamas

Some of the most popular, and in fact, the most stylish gifts are pajama and robe sets for men. With the different types of men's pajamas that are available today, they are far from being a garden variety gift. Pajamas are bedtime wear, so how stylish do they really have to be? Does the choice of fabric really matter? The answer to that question might just surprise you.

Men's cotton pajamas bring a level of comfort and warmth, depending on how the cotton is woven. They can be selected to offer something that is cool and comfortable for the gentleman to wear in a hot summer atmosphere, or the same fabric might be used to help him cozy up in a windy or cold climate. You can also find men's cotton pajamas in the drawstring variety, reminiscent of surgical scrubs. These are more casual and relaxed, and could double as lounge pants, offering a great way to chill out after a shower or swimming.

Cotton is a great fabric and is perfect for thousands of uses but for men's pajamas they aren't at the top of the pajama food chain.

Another fabric that is highly popular for men's pjs these days is silk. Silken clothing has a feel of luxury and wealth that women have always loved, but men are getting on board in big numbers too.

You can get many different textures of silk depending on how it is woven. Men's silk pajamas offer a very light feel to them and men love that texture and comfort in a big way. Silk wasn't always a fabric that was known as a ladies selection. Men have worn silk throughout the ages. Middle Eastern sheiks knew the light texture kept the skin cool in the sand and heat, while royalty saw silk as an extravagance that they richly deserved.

Modern ways of weaving silk on automatic looms has made the cost of silk affordable for everyone making them a luxury that is easy on the budget. Men's garments such as men's silk pajamas are far more readily found and more affordable than ever before.

Surprisingly, men's silk pajamas aren't just a luxury that feels good to the gentleman in question. They are a luxury that can actually affect the quality of rest and sleep. Research has shown that what you wear to sleep can actually help to assure that you get a more sound and restful sleep.

According to Max Hirshkowitz, who is the director of the Sleep Disorders Research Center in Houston, the quality of your sleep is affected by what you wear to sleep. Hirshkowitz says that silk is one fabric that is hard to replace for sleeping. His comments are that silk men's pjs (or womens) keeps you far warmer in the wintertime and far cooler in the summer months. In addition, they don't harbor dust mites such as other fabrics may do. They move with the body and slide as you move in your sleep, meaning that you get more rest when you are dressed for bed in silk.

If there were ever a better reason for pampering yourself just a little, we can't find it. A new bedtime wardrobe may actually help you to get more rest and feel better when you wake which is something you might want to keep in mind if you have trouble sleeping occasionally.

Wearing silk pajamas could be the thing that helps you get a better night's sleep. Silk mens pjs seem like a necessity now, don't they?

How Medical Uniforms Have Changed

Nursing Pajamas

Arguably, the field of medicine has existed since the beginning of time. Even the earliest of civilizations developed some type of system for coping with ailments. Of course these early methods of healing were very primitive, but through trial, error and advances in science, healing professions evolved their methods to match the medical practices that exist today. Although medical practices have existed since the beginning of time, the standard medical uniform is a relatively new addition to the field of medicine.

Nursing Pajamas

Today, the majority of, if not all, medical professionals adorn medical scrubs while working in hospitals and other medical facilities. Historically, however, the medical scrub is a relatively new phenomenon. At the beginning of the 19th century, doctors would perform surgical procedures in their street clothes. If a doctor was seen in clothing covered with blood and other bodily fluids, he would be perceived as having a fluid medical practice. It makes sense, however, that many doctors would not like ruining their clothes by staining them with the bodily fluids of others. Doctors who were concerned about protecting their clothing began wearing butcher's aprons when performing surgery. Eventually, some type of surgical uniform was designed to replace the aprons. Initially, the surgical uniform was white. White, however, can lead to eye strain and fatigue. In addition, the sight of blood on white material can be difficult for many people to stomach. For that reason, surgical scrubs were designed in the standard green color that we often associate with medical television shows such as M.A.S.H. The benefits of wearing medical scrubs became well known and the uniform began to be worn by all doctors and not simply surgeons.

Today, doctors are not the only medical professionals that wear scrubs. Virtually all medical staff working in hospitals and doctor's offices wear some type of scrub uniform. Even nurses have evolved from their traditional uniform to medical scrubs. Historically, nursing uniforms consisted of the standard dress, apron and cap. This uniform is highly identifiable by most people and was worn by nurses until the 1990s. Today, nursing uniforms are usually only seen in the United States when worn as costumes at Halloween. During the 90's nurses began wearing scrubs identical to those worn by doctors. The trend took off and the majority of nursing professionals in the United States wear scrubs instead of the standard nursing dress.

With both doctors and nurses wearing medical scrubs as uniforms, it was only a matter of time before other hospital professionals followed suit. The popularity of medical scrubs today is likely due to their convenience, comfort and availability. Medical scrubs allow professionals to protect their personal clothing and a uniform takes away the time consuming task of planning an appropriate outfit for the day. In addition, scrubs are comfortable and synonymous to wearing pajamas. Today scrubs have expanded and include a variety of styles including Landau scrubs and Metroscrubs. Different brands of scrubs offer a broad variety of choices. For example, Metro scrubs can be found in various colors including green, blue, pink and yellow.

What You Need to Know Before Buying Maternity Clothes!

Nursing Pajamas

Your baby bump is barely showing and you're ready to rush off to the local mall to try on those cute maternity fashions! We can't blame you as there is an abundance of new maternity fashions and styles out there. But WAIT! Read these 5 quick tips before you spend a penny - we want to make sure you know how to select the correct items, stay stylish and save a penny or two.

Nursing Pajamas

Remember that most maternity wear is sold by Pre-Pregnancy size. Although it is impossible to tell how much weight you'll gain and where you'll gain it, it's important to start with your pre-pregnancy size to ensure a correct fit. Determine your needs! It's important to know where you'll be wearing your new items, so that you can select just what you need and not be tempted to over purchase! It's no good buying 3 pairs of cute jeans if you need clothes for the office! Choose a few basic items that can be mixed and matched. A pair of pants, a skirt, a dress, jeans and several tops/tee shirts will usually be enough to start with. Remember that you can sometimes purchase non-maternity wear in a larger size. Although this will usually not work throughout the whole 9 months - as the item will be larger all over and not just in the areas you'll need it! It's sometimes handy to have a few non-maternity items in a larger size as they can be worn after the baby is born when you're not quite able to squeeze back into your favorite jeans. There are some great maternity accessories out there. You can avoid purchasing maternity wear altogether for the first few months by extending the life of your pre-pregnancy clothes with a Bella Band or B-Buckle.
Personal Tip: Don't think that just because you tried on the "belly" in the store that your new purchases will fit once your own belly starts to appear. I know this from first hand experience! A beautiful silk suit, which I planned to wear to a summer wedding, looked super cute in the store (with the "belly" on). But - looked terrible several months later. Luckily that little black office dress in the closet easily doubled as a wedding outfit when paired with some cute accessories.

A Quality Ladies Robe Will Make You Feel Like a Million Dollars

Nursing Pajamas

Purchasing a robe is a wise idea for any woman. In many cases, people choose to give robes as gifts. Women wear robes for a variety of reasons. Therefore, they are used and needed by almost everyone. Robes make wonderful quick cover-ups when company unexpectedly arrives and catches you in your pajamas.

Nursing Pajamas

They are also convenient to slip on after showering or bathing. In the wintertime, robes help create a blanket of warmth that can be worn around the house. They also add a sense of modesty to those that are usually confined to wearing sleepwear, such as people in the hospital or nursing home. Due to the vast variety of functions that robes serve, numerous different styles and types of ladies robes exist on the market in which to choose.

The first major difference in robe styles is the type of closure. Most robes close in the front. Some robes simply tie around the waist with an added piece of material as a rope. Other robes zip or button up the front. The type of closure that you choose all depends on the purpose that you want your cover-up to serve. Tie robes are often quicker to put on and take off. However, they allow more opportunities to come loose or open unexpectedly. These are best for at home wear. Zipper and snap closure robes are often a bit more time consuming to put on but have a less likely chance of coming open and exposing the body underneath. These work better for more public wear or for wearing in front of others.

Another major difference in the types of ladies robes that are purchased is the material. Different materials and styles work best for different seasons of the year. Cotton waffle, silk, satin, and micro fiber robes are often the lightest in weight. These materials offer a more breathable function and work best for spring and summer months. Chenille, cashmere, velour, cotton terry, and luxury spa robes are all often thicker and warmer materials. Some work very well at insulating body heat. These materials are best for fall and winter robe use. They also work well at absorbing moisture as when at a spa or after bathing.

In addition to the closure and material, some robes are created longer than others. Short knee length robes are perfect for women who want to create a little sexier eye appeal. Silk and sating robes are often seen available in shorter lengths. Longer ankle length robes are good for those that are more interested in covering up or staying warm.

When choosing a robe as a gift for someone special or for yourself, it is important to consider your needs. What purpose do you wish for your robe to serve? When do you plan to wear the robe? Is the feel of the fabric important? Examining these questions will help you find the perfect robe. However, in most cases, women find that having one robe simply is not enough. Do not feel bad about stocking your closet with three or four ladies' robes in a variety of styles and materials.
